From Hotel Living to Real Estate Success: My Journey with Brock Solid Investments

Turning Fear into Action and Making Dreams a Reality

If you had told me just 10 months ago that I would be the proud owner of not one but two condos, managing them through my own LLC named "Brock Solid Investments," I would have thought you were joking. You see, I had no prior experience in real estate, forming a business, or property management. Heck, I had no background in business, finance, accounting, or management whatsoever. But here I am today, sharing my journey of turning fear into action and making my dreams a reality.

Hotel Living to Real Estate Ownership

After 20 long months of living in hotels, the time finally came in March when I closed on my first condo. It was a momentous occasion, one that marked the beginning of my real estate journey. But I didn't stop there. Just five months later, I closed on my second condo, which I intended to use as a short-term rental property. To give my investments an extra layer of protection and reap some tax benefits, I decided to create an LLC in June, aptly named "Brock Solid Investments."

Building a Cash Flowing Rental Property

Fast forward to September 25th, and I will have a fully furnished rental property that's cash flowing approximately $1500 a month. It's not just about the financial gain; it's about realizing the power of taking calculated risks and diving headfirst into the unknown. But that's not where my journey ends.

The Art of House Hacking

In addition to my rental property, I'm also exploring the concept of house hacking. I've listed my personal space and hope to find a tenant soon. Once I do, I'll be moving out and renting my own space, with the potential to clear an additional $700 a month. It's all about maximizing the opportunities that come my way and being open to new ideas and strategies.

Learning from Mistakes

I won't sugarcoat it. This journey has been far from easy. There were denied loans, turned down offers, locked bank accounts, and even a tenant who refused to pay. I spent countless hours making this dream a reality, and I made my fair share of mistakes along the way. But each setback only fueled my determination to keep moving forward.
