What is Social Media Management?

According to WebFX, “Social media management is the process of managing your online presence on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter by creating, publishing, and analyzing the content you post. Managing social media also includes engaging and interacting with social media users. You can use tools, services, and social media managers to oversee your account.” 

As a social media marketer I serve as the voice of the brand with duties including:​​​​​​​​

*​​​​​​​​ Day-to-day posts, replies and general content strategy​​​​​​​​.

* Maintaining your brand’s tone and values while interacting with customers.​​​​​​​​

*​​​​​​​​ Aligning your content strategy with big-picture and specific marketing goals, and collaborating with marketing team members on goals and KPIs.​​​​​​​​

I am someone who is sitting behind the computer, cell phone, or tablet doing the work that no one in your business wants to do. The person who you have handed this role has most likely been doing this job for years without the payment. Building knowledge, experiences, and passion for this “new” line of work. I say “new,” because marketing has been around for some time, but the act of doing the marketing on social media is relatively new.  Many business owners have accepted that in order to properly grow you need to properly market.
